Merry Monday Challenge - Use a Tag

Hello Everyone and happy Monday.  It is time for a new challenge at Merry Monday and this time Sue has challenged us to add a decorated tag to our cards.

For my card I die cut the Stitched Main Street Tag by Poppy Stamps from MFT Primitive Cream CS and them embossed it with SU Brick Wall EF.  I fussy cut the green mat. The stocking is from Power Poppy Poinsettia stamp set, stamped on Strathmore Bristol CS and colored with Promarkers.  I fussy cut the image and added it to the tag with foam tape.  I went over the ribbon, candy canes and center of the flower with my clear glitter gel pen for a little bling (but it doesn't show up in the photo - it is very pretty IRL).  I also added a small gold brad to the stocking hanger to look like it was hanging on the brick wall.  I added the Christmas ribbon and tied with a thread bow.  The tag is mounted with foam tape also.  The DSP and green mats are from an older DCWV Christmas Scrapbook pad.  The sentiment is from the Poinsettia stamp set.

I hope you will check out all the fabulous tag creations by my team mates over at Merry Monday and play along with us this week.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Balloons

Hello Friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and the "Toppings" option this week is to use balloons on your birthday project.

For my card I used this cute bear from MFT's Beary Special Birthday and die cut it with MFT Pierced Oval die.  I also stamped the extra balloons, die cut them, and then cut a slit around the green balloon to add the extra balloons.  They are colored with Promarkers.  I added white accents with a gel pen, and also drew in the extra balloon strings as they were hid behind the main image. The black mat is fussy cut and the large black scallop mat is die cut with a die from MFT Blueprints 20.  The DSP is from Doodlebug Design Take Note 6x6 pad.    The sentiment is from the same stamp set cut with MFT Blueprints 2 die.  The image panel and sentiment are mounted with foam tape.

Be sure to check out all the fabulous creations by the designers over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will join us.

Merry Monday #256 - Favorite Holiday Movie

Hello friends.  We have a new challenge for you over at Merry Monday and Nina has challenged us to make a card based on our favorite holiday movie.  I couldn't decide between It's A Wonderful Life or White Christmas but finally went with White Christmas.
The sentiment is computer generated and die cut with MFT Pierced Fishtail Flags die.  I re-inserted it in the die and cut the other end.  My white card panel was brayered with SU Bashful Blue ink and stamped with a snowflake from Verve Jolly Jingles in SU Marina  Mist.  The Memory Box Evergreen Trio trees were die cut in SU Always Artichoke.  I used my white gel pen to add the snowy details.  I added the Memory Box Deer Trio on some snowy slopes die cut with MFT Snow Drifts dies.  The deer trio and the bottom snow drift are mounted with foam tape.  The card base is SU Bashful Blue CS.

I hope you will check out all the great "favorite holiday movie" cards by the designers over at Merry Monday and join in the fun with us.  Can't wait to see what you create.

Exciting News - Merry Monday Christmas Challenge #255

Happy Monday friends.  I have some exciting news to share with you - I am now on the Design Team over at Merry Monday Christmas Challenge.  This is my first post as a team member and I am so thrilled to be joining the team as I love making Christmas Cards.

Marcia is our hostess this week and her challenge is to use the word Joy on your Christmas Card.

For my card I used Stampabilities Joy to the World stamp I got at Hobby Lobby.  I stamped it with Versamark ink and embossed with black embossing power, but you can't tell it in the photo.
I die cut it with MFT Stitched Ovals and matted it with a black MFT Stitched Mini Scallop Oval.  I then mounted this with foam tape.   I was trying to decide on which DSP I wanted to use and had it laying on the this patterned paper from an older Martha Stewart Christmas Mat Pad.  I thought this would be perfect, as Jesus was our greatest gift at Christmas, so I went with that.  I used MFT Blueprints 20 die for the scallop mat.

Now be sure to hop over to the Merry Monday Christmas Challenge blog to see all the fabulous creations by the Designers.  I can't wait to see what you create.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  Have a wonderful day.

Hello Friends.  I am sharing a card I made for a good friend's birthday using SU Tranquil Tulips (borrowed from a friend) .

Seize the Birthday - Tie One On

Happy Thursday friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this time our "Toppings" option is "Tie One On".  Remember it is an option and the only requirement is that it has to be a birthday project.

For my card I used some black & white Baker's twine and tied it around the panel cut with MFT Rectangle Peek-a-Book Window.  The paper is from Authentique Grace/Strength 12x12 pad.  The CS is some older SU More Mustard, which matched the DSP perfectly.  I cut the MFT Upsy Daisy die (retired) from the same CS and added a black enamel dot to the center.  The leaves are MFT Simple Leaf Flourish (retired) that was already cut.  I think I should have used a little darker green, but it is done and it looks good IRL.  The sentiment is from TPC Studio Happy Birthday set.

You should check out all the fabulous creations by the designers over at Seize the Birthday.  I hope you will be inspired to join us.

New Baby Card

Hi friends.  My daughter requested a baby card with a jungle theme for a baby shower she is attending.  So I used The Paper Studio's Little Safari paper and stickers.  I added some brown enamel dots around the sentiment which is a stamp from Kaisercraft Peek-a-Boo set.  I stamped it with SU Chocolate Chip ink on some of the DSP from the 12 x 12 paper pad and die cut it with a Spellbinders die.  I traced the die on the CS and fussy cut the mat.  The animals are stickers from the Little Safari Set.

This is the inside of the card.  I fussy cut the image from one of the DSP sheets and adnered it on the inside.  I stamped the Studio K sentiment with the Choc. Chip ink.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

I appreciated it when you take time to leave me a comment.

Thank You

Hello Friends.  Today I am sharing several Thank You cards I made for my helpers with crafts during Vacation Bible School at church last week.  We had almost 20 children in each of 3 classes each night.  They were a big help and I wanted to let them know I appreciated them.

I used various Stampin Up products and MFT dies.   The one with the horse (MFT set) was made for a lady that works with horses and I thought it was appropriate for her.

If you have any questions, please let me know.

Thanks for stopping by.  I hope you have a wonderful day.

Seize the Birthday - Splatters

Hello and happy Thursday friends.  It is time for a new challenge at Seize the Birthday and this week we have the "Toppings" option of using splatters on your birthday project.
For my card I used a piece of watercolor paper sponged with SU Night of Navy and Rich Razzleberry.  They are both lighter when watercoloring with them.  I splatter thinned white paint with a toothbrush for the spots.  This is actually a left over piece from a project I was doing for our Vacation Bible School at church, which is Galatic Starveyors.  So I had followed some tutorials and made it look like the glaxay.    The top white piece is done with MFT Stitched Scallop Basic Edges die and the bottom is done with MFT Stitched Strip die.  The flower is made using MFT Stitched Flowers and SU Marina Mist and white CS.  The leaves are MFT Simple Leaf Flourish cut from the same Recollections CS as the mat.  I snipped it and rearranged it a little.  I used a glitter enamel dot in the center of the flower.

I used MFT Sketch Challenge 342 for my layout so I am linking my card there.

I hope you will check out all the fabulous creations by the designers over at Seize the Birthday and join us for this fun challenge.

Happiest of Birthdays to You

Good Morning friends.  I have a birthday card for a special friend that I am sharing today.
I was inspired by several different cards on Pinterest, so I combined elements from each one and this is what I came up with.   I used my new Sue Wilson Maggie die by Creative Expressions for the center element and mounted it with foam tape.  The bow is another Sue Wilson die-Classic 3D Itty Bitty Bow.  The sentiment is from SU Birthday Blooms stamped in Smokey Slate ink.  The bottom border is cut with a Spellbinder's die -A2 Scalloped Borders One.  I embossed the large white panel with Cuttlebug Geometric Rings EF and added pearls where the rings join.  The lt. blue CS is from a Recollections pack.  The card is 5-1/4" square and will be hand delivered.

Thanks so much for stopping by.  I really appreciate it when you take time to leave me a comment.
I hope you have a wonderful day.
